Our planet and our future need us to say stop to these numbers. 
 
Uppik is committed to a genuine CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) approach and shouts it out loud, not to engage in greenwashing, but in the hope of having a positive impact on the textile industry. We know we can’t be perfect 100%. Some decisions may not fully align with what we want to achieve, but we try to get as close as possible.

WHAT DOES UPPIK CONCRETELY PROPOSE TO ADRESS THESE ISSUES ?

To avoid overconsumption, Uppik has focused on three major decisions.

#1 A material designed to last for more than 10 years.

The two materials used are as follows:

  • 99% polyamide,
  • 1% elastane
Polyamide is a material particularly resistant to abrasion. Additionally, the chosen fabric construction (Ripstop type) provides excellent tear resistance.
 
10 times more resistant than polyester and 30 times more than viscose, this material has a significantly longer lifespan, resulting in a lower environmental cost in the long run.
 
It also allows for good sweat and moisture evacuation during runs, making it ideal for running.

#2 The use of the thermobonding system.

These jackets have no seams.
 
This system allows Uppik to ensure reparability for the majority of the jacket you chose. So, we guarantee a lifetime reparability for your jacket.
 
How? Your jacket has a serial number. You send us your jacket by mail. We take care of repairing it with our local partner, and then we send your jacket, good as new, back to your home. Convenient, isn’t it?

#3 Overconsumption and fast fashion are not solely the fault of governments or companies.

Blaming big companies and governments is not the sole solution. The fault also lies with us.

How can we blame large companies and governments when the act of purchase starts with us?

As a company, we must inform our consumers and provide prevention on social media.

Pascal is an adopted Ardèche resident, a department located in Rhône-Alpes. He decided that the entire production of his products would be carried out in this same region.

The carbon footprint of our production, and more specifically our transportation, is greatly reduced!

#1 These factories are located in rural French areas. Uppik contributes to enabling men and women to continue living in these departments, “far” from the metropolises, with fair remuneration.
 
#2 For Pascal, these production factories are more than just suppliers; they are true partners. Pascal regularly visits these sites and interacts with employees, from the production line to the development offices.
 
Having been an industrial director for 15 years in such units, Pascal is committed to selecting factories that are exemplary in terms of working conditions.
MENTAL WELL-BEING AND MENTAL HEALTH, MAJOR CHALLENGES
#1 Our product was designed to meet the need to make life easier for runners and promote their well-being.
Have you ever lost motivation due to comfort and simplicity concerns: you can’t find the jacket you absolutely need, and you no longer feel like going for a run? We don’t want that to happen to you again. The features have been designed for you, to prevent you from reliving those situations.
 
#2 Secondly, we really want to encourage people who follow us, and those who don’t follow us yet, to engage in physical activity, even if it’s just for a few minutes a day.
For this, we use Instagram and Facebook to share our advice as amateur runners!
We want to make everyone understand that sports are truly beneficial for the body, yes, but especially for the mind.We address people who work hard every day, people who need to mentally unload before, during, or after work, regardless of their personal situation.
 
#3 Pascal wanted to place humans at the center of his values.
It’s not always easy to create contact when you don’t have a physical store, so we try to do it differently, through our messages, comments, and posts.
Human contact is truly valued at Uppik. We are convinced that people increasingly need this, and so do we.
